Dear Neighbors,

I’m a 37 year resident and 2007 Citizen of the Year. My entire family (wife Nancy, Richmond Street School Teacher; children, Jennifer and Jill, ESUSD graduates; and grandsons) live in El Segundo. Thus, I have a vested interest in wanting to protect the El Segundo we all appreciate.

As former Mayor, Councilman, Planning Commissioner & involved citizen, I’ve selected and been active in committees that focus on issues that defend and protect our city, including: LAX Petitioners Advisory Committee, FAA Roundtable, Aviation Safety & Noise Abatement Committee, LAX Area Advisory Committee, Hyperion Citizens Forum, Los Angeles County Sanitation District, Municipal Area Express, Senior Citizens’ Housing Board, SBCCOG Homeland Security, El Segundo Disaster Council, CERT, RACES (Disaster Amateur Radio), Los Angeles County Vector Control District, and Technology, Golf, R1 Zone, and 90th Anniversary subcommittees.

I may be the quiet member of the council, but my work, dedication and record speak for me. My experience serves as the “institutional memory” of the council.

I don’t run expensive campaigns. I don’t accept large donations from special interests. However, I gratefully accept support from residents.
